The role involves performing comprehensive and high-quality echocardiograms following MGH Echocardiography Lab protocol, utilizing various techniques. The sonographer will perform a variety of echocardiography exams, including Stress echocardiogram, Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) echocardiogram, CRT, and Ramp study. They may also assist physicians in the Catheterization Lab and OR. The role requires applying independent judgment to ensure accurate capture of anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions, and acquiring additional imaging as necessary. The sonographer will also prepare exam rooms and equipment according to infection control and safety protocols. A key physical requirement is the ability to push 300lb ultrasound equipment throughout the hospital for portable rotations.
