This role is within the VHVI Non-Inv Diag Echo department. The Cardiac Sonographer PRN acquires echocardiographic data using transthoracic transducer acquisition under physician supervision. This includes morphologic imaging, assessment of myocardial function, recording of hemodynamic parameters, and visualization of blood flow. The role may also involve performing stress echocardiographic testing, contrast imaging, and administering contrast agents, all under physician direction. The position requires applying a broad range of skills to ensure timely, high-quality, and compliant exams, while adhering to safety standards. The sonographer will gather diagnostic images for all patients, including the clinically complex, and communicate findings to the healthcare team, recognizing abnormal studies. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the orientation and training of new staff.
