About The Position

Hocking Valley Community Hospital (HVCH) is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist to join our friendly, hard-working team in the Cardiovascular Department, Cardiac Rehab. This is a Full Time position, working 4 days per week, 9 hour days, with no weekends or holidays. The pay rate ranges from $32.25/hr to $45.29/hr, with additional pay for a BSN. ACLS certification is required, and experience with rehab is a plus. HVCH is a 25-bed critical access hospital (CAH) located in Logan, Ohio, serving the rural Hocking Hills Region. We are affiliated with OSU Wexner Medical Center and part of the Ohio State Health Network. Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Professional Registered Nurse license from the Ohio Board of Nursing, active and in good-standing.
  • CPR - approved by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS - approved by the American Heart Association.
  • Knowledgeable of Order processing systems, Spreadsheet software, and Word processing software.
  • Knowledge of a variety of age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of cardiac rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver care to the acutely ill patient through nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Effectively interact with patients, their support team, and other health team members while maintaining duties of professional nursing.
  • Perform event monitor applications.
  • Assist nuclear medicine/respiratory therapist during cardiac stress tests.
  • Conduct permanent pacemaker checks.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
