Cardiac Nephrology Acute Care RN – Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

About The Position
Part-time registered nurse position on a 24-bed unit specializing in cardiac and nephrology care. The unit cares for cardiac patients following catheterization or electrophysiology procedures, as well as patients with congestive heart failure, chest pain, and those receiving drips. Care is also provided to patients with acute and chronic renal failure. Nurses provide bedside care with support from a virtual nurse using video conferencing. The schedule is 0.6 FTE, 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m., with every third weekend.
Requirements
- Current Iowa RN license.
- No previous experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Supervise and coordinate care provided by LPNs and PCAs.
- Facilitate communication with physicians, families, and other team members.
