About The Position
The Cardiac Monitoring Technician I interprets and reports EKG data received from patients wearing company monitoring devices to assist physicians in diagnosing and developing appropriate treatment plans.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Computer literacy
- Teams and Outlook literacy
- EKG training certificate
- CET (Certified EKG Technician) – offered at some colleges and community colleges or medical background
- English as a fluent language
- Ability to demonstrate EKG interpretation
- Desire 1 year of EKG experience without gap working experience in a hospital or IDTF
- Hospital experience could be working in telemetry where they are interpreting what they see on the monitors and strips, then sharing that information with the doctors

Responsibilities
- Process, analyze, interpret and edit EKG data
- Recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms and clearly communicate information to appropriate team members
- Accurately document actions taken
- Build high -quality reports including summary of findings and applicable ECG strips according to established standards.
- Verify patient demographics
- Achieve and maintain monthly metric goals for quality and productivity.
- Exercise critical thinking and discretion handling patient events
- Adhering to any general or specific policies, procedures, work instructions, including HIPAA guidelines
- Regular interaction with all Microsoft Office applications
- Contribute to a positive team culture
- Other business duties as assigned
