About The Position

The Cardiac Monitor Technician (CMT) provides ongoing observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms. The technician monitors, recognizes, and reports cardiac arrhythmias to the Registered Nurse caring for the patient. The CMT prepares and maintains telemetry records and maintains a functioning telemetry system. The role also performs other duties related to patient cardiac monitoring and equipment maintenance in both the central monitoring station and patient care units.

The position is part-time at the Livonia Campus, with a 12-hour day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Every-other-weekend work and three holidays per year are required for full-time and part-time team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ECG and telemetry.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias.
• Computer proficiency.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Every-other-weekend work and three holidays per year are required.

Nice To Haves

• ECG certification.
• Previous Monitor Technician experience in a hospital.
