About The Position
A well-established, physician-led anesthesia group in Central Texas is seeking a Cardiac Chief Anesthesiologist to lead its cardiac program while maintaining a balanced clinical practice. The role blends cardiac and general cases, carries a $50K leadership stipend, and comes with over 8 weeks of time off annually. This position offers the opportunity to earn into the $600Ks with an additional $50K leadership stipend, no OB call, and over 8 weeks of annual time off. The group is collegial, physician-led, and has strong long-term retention. The location is 90 minutes from two major metros with a substantially lower cost of living, offering outdoor recreation, local events, college sports, and a relaxed community culture.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- CV Fellowship required
- Eligible for Texas medical license
- Leadership mindset with interest in program development

- TEE certification and advanced echo skills preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the cardiac anesthesia program while maintaining your own clinical caseload
- Perform a mix of cardiac and general anesthesia cases
- Collaborate with a stable, long-tenured surgical and anesthesia team
- Drive quality initiatives and program development in partnership with hospital leadership
