Cardiac Anesthesiologist
About The Position
A respected private practice in the Napa / Sonoma California area is hiring a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join its established cardiac anesthesia team. This is a rare chance to practice cardiac anesthesia in Northern California wine country, with a partnership track and compensation of $750,000 to $900,000 per year. You will join a cohesive team of five to six cardiac anesthesiologists who cover a varied, engaging mix of cardiac and structural heart cases. Cardiac work takes place at two hospitals, with vacation coverage at a third, and physicians rotate between sites as needed.
Requirements
- MD or DO with completed anesthesiology residency.
- Completed adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship (required).
- Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology.
- California medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced perioperative TEE certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Cover OPCAB (Off-pump cardiac surgery) cases.
- Participate in structural heart program cases including TAVR, Watchman left atrial appendage closure, and MitraClip.
- Handle Electrophysiology (EP) lab cases.
- Perform intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
- Perform general anesthesia cases between cardiac assignments for a balanced, varied schedule.
