About The Position

We are seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Marshfield, WI. This inpatient role involves clinical duties and call coverage from December 1, 2026, ongoing. The schedule is typically 7 AM to 5 PM, 1-2 weeks per month, with night and weekend call. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 16 ORs and uses the Cerner EMR system. The anesthesiologist will primarily cover adult cardiac cases, including 80% structural and 20% pump cases, with 80% of these being solo cases. Other case types include complete ortho, complex vascular, head spine, neuro, OB, regional, and thoracic. Required procedures include general, spinal, and epidural anesthesia, regional anesthesia surgery, OB & Neuro cases, open heart anesthesia, thoracic cases, complex vascular & orthopedic cases, post-op epidural & extremity blocks, ventilation management, evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues, and C-Line, A-Line & PA Catheter placement.

Requirements

• Board Certified (BC)
• WI License or willing to obtain
• BLS, ACLS, TEE certifications
• 30-40 TEEs within the past year
• Clean Record
• General, Spinal, Epidural Anesthesia
• Regional Anesthesia Surgery
• OB & Neuro Cases
• Open Heart Anesthesia
• Thoracic cases
• Complex vascular & orthopedic cases
• Post-op epidural & extremity blocks
• Ventilation management
• Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiac anesthesia coverage for 80% structural cases and 20% pump cases
• Place arterial and central lines, and administer regional blocks
• Cover general anesthesia cases when cardiac cases are not available
• Participate in scheduled on-call coverage (beeper call) as needed
