About The Position

Main Street Anesthesia is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a three-doctor MDA/CRNA cardiac team at Lovelace Heart Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role involves staffing 5-6 locations daily and focuses on quality patient care, innovation, and cutting-edge technology. The position is a 1099 contract role with 17 weeks off per year. New graduates (fellows) and non-fellows with cardiac experience are welcome to apply. The call schedule is split evenly among the three MDA team members, with light call back hours. The role covers approximately 500 open heart procedures and around 250 TAVRs, 50 MitraClips, EVARs, and TCARs in hybrid suites.

Requirements

Cardiac Fellowship or equivalent experience.
Peri-operative Echocardiography Board Certified or eligible.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented MDA/CRNA cardiac team.
Contractor's insurance must be in compliance with the NM Patient Compensation Fund (PCF).

Nice To Haves

Perioperative Echo Board Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia services for approximately 500 open heart procedures including CABGs, valve repairs and replacements, complex aortic work, LVADs, Impellas, and ECMO cases.
Cover hybrid suites for approximately 250 TAVRs, 50 MitraClips, EVARs, and TCARs.
Participate in a collaborative MDA/CRNA cardiac team.
Share call duties evenly with two other MDAs, including weekdays and weekends.
Ensure contractor's insurance is in compliance with the NM Patient Compensation Fund (PCF).
