About The Position

Reading Hospital is recruiting an experienced Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join their growing team. The Department of Anesthesia is housed in the HealthPlex for Advanced and Surgical Patient Care, a 476,000 square foot, state-of-the-art surgical inpatient tower. This facility features 24 surgical suites, including 6 hybrid-capable operating rooms, eight minor procedure rooms, and 16 emergency treatment rooms with expansion to 5 trauma bays. The hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center with a Pediatric Emergency Department. Reading Hospital is a 697-bed nonprofit teaching hospital that provides high quality healthcare, cutting-edge technology, and experienced, caring medical professionals. Requirements

  • MD/DO, Board Certified in Anesthesia, completion of a Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship
  • National Board of Echocardiography Certification to perform ultrasound assessment of cardiac health
  • Advanced TEE placement and interpretation skills
  • A valid PA Medical License or the ability to obtain one is required
  • Highly computer literate and familiar with charting, EPIC experience preferred
  • Excels in communicating sensitive and/or adverse information
  • Sound judgment and expert decision-making abilities
  • Analytical thinker and complex problem-solver
