About The Position

Piedmont is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their Heart Failure team at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. This is a PRN position requiring at least one consistent day a week, as well as coverage on an as-needed basis. The role involves completing office visits for newly diagnosed patients and follow-up appointments. The clinic is described as slower-paced with a large emphasis on educating patients about their condition and medication management, with appointments scheduled to allow ample time with each patient.

Requirements

Ability to commit to one consistent 8 hour day a week as well as have availability for PTO/Sick coverage in clinic
Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification

Responsibilities

Complete office visits with newly diagnosed patients as well as follow up appointments
Spend time educating patients on condition and medication management
Augment a physician’s ability to provide medical services to patients
Collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations and provide direct patient care services
