About The Position

The Car Wash Attendant greets customers, answers questions, explains available wash options, and assists customers at pay stations. The role involves guiding vehicles into the wash tunnel, responding to customer inquiries, and maintaining the car wash site through cleaning and upkeep tasks. The attendant also performs opening and closing procedures and basic troubleshooting, reports to work on time, and follows the dress and appearance code. The position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision and follow safety procedures in an outdoor car wash environment.

Duties are divided approximately as follows: 70% customer interaction, 20% site upkeep and maintenance, 5% opening and closing procedures, and 5% basic or light troubleshooting.

The position is part-time, with evening availability and weekday and weekend availability required. The work takes place in a typical outdoor car wash setting and may involve damp or humid conditions, variable weather, moderate to excessive noise, and required personal protective equipment.

• Ability to work in damp and humid conditions and outdoors in variable weather.
• Ability to regularly lift or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around noise and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Weekday and weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain available wash options.
• Assist customers at the pay stations and respond to customer inquiries.
• Guide customer vehicles into the wash tunnel.
• Recommend wash memberships and provide customer service and sales assistance.
• Maintain the car wash site by taking out garbage, sweeping the lot, and using a pressure washer to clean the wash bay.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and basic or light troubleshooting of daily duties.
• Report to work on time and follow the dress and appearance code.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Follow standard operating procedures and OSHA safety guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
