About The Position
The Car Sales Automotive Detailer cleans the interior and exterior of used vehicles and refurbishes them to prepare them for sale. The role supports the company’s cleanliness and safety standards by cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing vehicles, including cars, vans, and trucks. The position is located at 10750 State Route 30, Irwin, PA 15642, pays $17 per hour, and has a consistent 40-hour-per-week schedule, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work takes place outdoors in all types of weather and temperatures, as well as in a typical office environment. Employees must maintain a professional appearance, comply with uniform and personal protective equipment requirements, and follow local environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record in the past three years.
- Must have no drug- or alcohol-related conviction on the driving record in the past three years.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
- Polish, wax, and buff vehicle exteriors, including cars of different sizes, vans, and trucks.
- Vacuum vehicle interiors, including floors, seats, ashtrays, and trunks.
- Shampoo and clean carpets, floor mats, and upholstery.
- Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines and air purifiers to remove stains, pet hair, and odors.
- Use detailing methods such as wet sanding and clay bar when needed.
- Apply engine degreaser to engines.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Maintain a professional appearance and comply with uniform and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Adhere to local environmental regulations.
- Improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
