About The Position

Enterprise Mobility is hiring a full-time Automotive Detailer to prepare rental vehicles and help uphold cleanliness and safety standards. The position is located at 341 E 233rd St., Bronx, NY 10470. The starting pay is $18.75 per hour based on a 40-hour workweek, with potential yearly merit increases based on performance. The schedule is Sunday and Wednesday off; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing cars, trucks, and vans for customer rentals, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the branch location. The position may also involve assisting customers and transporting them to and from branches.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require employment-based work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than one hour from the location.
Must have at least six consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience.

Responsibilities

Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks.
Check fuel levels and warning lights; inspect windshields for damage; restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data; check for customer belongings and place valuables in Lost & Found; and verify that vehicle registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
Check fluid levels and add fluids as needed; assess tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; and inspect vehicle exteriors for damage.
Fuel and stage vehicles.
Inspect vehicles for safety concerns and report warning lights or vehicle, windshield, and tire damage; remove vehicles from the preparation process as needed.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines and air purifiers to remove stains, pet hair, and odors.
Assist customers when needed and potentially transport customers to and from branches.
Help maintain the overall appearance of branch locations, including cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash areas, and bathrooms, and vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and performing other daily cleanliness tasks.
Improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
