About The Position

Carvana is hiring a part-time Car Detailer, described in the posting as a Lot Attendant, to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles at its Market Hubs. The role involves inspecting, washing, and vacuuming vehicles, completing multi-point checks on arriving inventory, and coordinating with coworkers to support timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. Team members are expected to maintain positive relationships with coworkers and external vendors, communicate across the business, and attend work regularly and predictably. The position requires frequent driving and some typing, and includes working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past three years.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently and carry and transport up to 60 pounds for up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and frequently stretch, reach, walk, stoop, push, and/or pull.
• Must have excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Must be able to use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
• Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles for mechanical, drivability, or cosmetic concerns.
• Wash and vacuum inventory on a regular basis.
• Complete multi-point inspections on arriving inventory, including checking fuel level, safety features, drivability, and proper display of company and state disclosures.
• Coordinate with fellow employees to help ensure timely deliveries and high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and external vendors.
• Interact and communicate with team members and management across all lines of the business.
• Adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
