About The Position

Carvana is hiring a part-time Car Detailer, described in the posting as an entry-level Lot Attendant, to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles at its Market Hubs. The role works with fellow employees to support timely deliveries and strong customer satisfaction. The schedule is 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Carvana lists a pay range of $17–$18 per hour, with a $17 starting rate and performance-based increases of $0.25 at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months through its Careers Not Jobs program. The position includes PTO and paid holidays, including the employee’s birthday as a holiday. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently, with most lifting from knee to shoulder height and other lifting from various levels.
Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds for up to 20 feet.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and frequently stretch, reach, walk, stoop, push, and/or pull.
Must have excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
Must be able to drive frequently and do some typing.
Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.

High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

Inspect each vehicle for mechanical, drivability, or cosmetic concerns.
Wash and vacuum inventory regularly.
Complete a multi-point inspection on arriving inventory, including checking fuel level, safety features, and drivability, and ensuring company and state disclosures are properly displayed.
Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and external vendors.
Communicate and interact with team members and management across the business.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
