About The Position

Carvana is hiring a full-time Car Detailer (described in the posting as a Lot Attendant) to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles at its Market Hubs. The role works with fellow employees to support timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. Pay ranges from $15 to $16 per hour, with performance-based increases of $0.25 at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months through the Careers Not Jobs program. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently, primarily from knee to shoulder height, with additional lifting from various levels.
• Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds for up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and frequently stretch, reach, walk, stoop, push, and/or pull.
• Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Requires frequent driving and some typing.
• Must use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
• Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.

• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each vehicle for mechanical, drivability, or cosmetic concerns.
• Wash and vacuum inventory regularly.
• Complete a multi-point inspection of arriving inventory, including fuel level, safety features, a drivability test, and proper display of company and state disclosures.
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and external vendors.
• Communicate and interact with team members and management across the business.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
