About The Position

Insomnia Cookies is hiring a Car Delivery Driver to deliver orders safely and accurately while providing friendly hospitality. Drivers also support bakery operations between deliveries by welcoming guests, preparing and packaging orders, helping bake cookies and other treats, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized, stocked, and food-safe bakery. The role involves working both in the bakery and on the road, including driving in varying weather and traffic conditions. Availability is needed during peak business hours, especially evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. The posted pay is $14 per hour, plus tips. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable pre-employment checks and requirements.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Access to a reliable, insured vehicle that meets company requirements.
• Current auto insurance meeting state minimum requirements.
• Smartphone capable of running company delivery applications.
• Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to drive safely for extended periods and frequently enter and exit a vehicle.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and transport orders weighing up to 30 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, kneel, and carry bakery products.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions while making deliveries.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Insomnia Cookies orders safely, accurately, and with a smile.
• Ensure orders arrive warm, complete, and ready to impress.
• Use GPS and delivery technology to navigate efficiently while following safe driving practices.
• Welcome bakery guests and provide friendly service between deliveries.
• Prepare, package, and organize delivery and pickup orders.
• Help bake and package cookies and other treats as needed.
• Operate the register and process guest transactions.
• Keep the bakery clean, organized, stocked, and food-safe.
• Work with the bakery team to move orders quickly and accurately.
• Help create a positive guest experience.
