The successful Captain will greet all guests and ensure each guest is attended to in an appropriate manner ensuring consistently high levels of safety, quality, service, and guest satisfaction, while maintaining a high level of profitability. This role involves rotating as cruise captain, ensuring adherence to procedures, thorough pre-cruise preparation, adherence to cruise scripts, supervision of crew, proper piloting of vessel, adherence to all Coast Guard rules and regulations, and guest satisfaction. The Captain will also gather pertinent cruise event details, conduct pre-cruise meetings, ensure staff and guest adherence to safety standards, participate in the Safety Program and emergency drills, and oversee the proper maintenance of all ship's systems and boarding facilities. Additionally, the Captain is responsible for ensuring strict compliance with the Emergency Response Plan, recruiting and training non-exempt operations staff, scheduling crew, managing payroll administration, and developing positive working relationships with city department heads and peers. The role also includes resolving guest problems, completing all shift records, and executing collateral duties as assigned by Marine Management.
