About The Position
This role involves operating capsule and tablet machines in a pharmaceutical/nutraceutical setting. The operator will be responsible for setting up equipment, monitoring production, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a clean work area. This position requires adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Requirements
- High School Degree
- Knowledge of GMP
- Ability to follow instructions
- Basic math skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical/nutraceutical industry
- Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
Responsibilities
- Set up the equipment to start production
- Feed the machine with raw material powder as necessary
- Check to see capsules are released correctly
- Control of weight variation
- Recuperation of powder from vacuums
- Refill or supply the machine with raw material powder and capsules as necessary
- Fill out all the different batch record formats, based on the time established
- Keep the work area clean
- Follow established SOPs for position and comply with GMPs
- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor
