About The Position

Responsible for capital projects, planning, coordination of workflow and improving manufacturing processes while ensuring processes adhere to customer and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering, holding an active license with PEO
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Formal training on Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, 5 Gen, Kaizen, and Six Sigma
  • Previous experience managing HVAC systems for large manufacturing facility
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

Nice To Haves

  • preference to holders of a PMP designation
  • Demonstrated success at leading in Capital Projects (examples)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all capital installations (production equipment, infrastructure, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
  • Manage changes with input from all stakeholders and focus on meeting internal customers’ requirements
  • Supervise all capital projects staff (Capital Projects Coordinator, Manufacturing Engineering Technologist, etc.) and external contractors related to these projects
  • Ensure that pre-start health and safety reviews (PHSR) is completed prior to acceptance, and all equipment; documentation is delivered and filed (warranty, drawings, ESA, TSSA, etc.)
  • Assist with site environmental conformance as well as hazardous material programs
  • Ensure compliance to company safety and security standards, procedures and policies
  • Attend to emergency issues, outside business hours, as required
  • Manage goals and objectives to ensure alignment with the Vice President
  • Support Kubota Global Identity, with the Brand and Spirit statements of Kubota Materials Canada Corporation
  • Other related duties, as required
