About The Position

The Manufacturing Process Engineer / Capital Projects Engineer will support the execution of capital projects, equipment installations, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and process improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role requires strong hands-on engineering experience and works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
4+ years of hands-on engineering experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology, regulated manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
Hands-on experience with equipment installation, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, process engineering, or capital project execution.
Experience with project scoping, scheduling, budgeting, vendor/contractor coordination, and stakeholder management.
Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, processes, utilities, instrumentation, controls, or automation systems.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment specifications, P&IDs, or related technical documents.
Experience with process/equipment data analysis and engineering tools such as Excel and Minitab.
Knowledge of HAZOP/PHA, Lean/Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
Understanding of GMP, change control, validation, and regulated manufacturing requirements.
Strong technical problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Validation or documentation experience alone is not sufficient; candidates should demonstrate practical, hands-on engineering experience.
Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment and comply with required PPE and safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with MS Project, Smartsheet, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering/project tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support planning and execution of capital projects, equipment installations, and engineering initiatives.
Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and track project progress.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional technical teams.
Support equipment evaluation, procurement, installation, commissioning, startup, and handover.
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues during installation, startup, and production.
Collect and analyze equipment/process data to support engineering decisions and improvements.
Participate in design reviews, HAZOP/PHA, process trials, engineering studies, and continuous improvement activities.
Support equipment/process validation and change-control activities.
Prepare engineering scopes, reports, SOPs, work instructions, and project turnover documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize costs while maintaining safety and compliance.
