About The Position

Lane County is seeking a skilled and collaborative Capital Projects Coordinator to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction and facility improvement projects that support essential public services across our community. In this role, you will manage a variety of capital construction projects from concept to completion, working closely with county departments, contractors, consultants, and community stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing project scopes and timelines, managing budgets, overseeing procurement and contracting processes, coordinating project teams, and ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with applicable regulations. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys solving complex problems, building strong relationships, and bringing projects to life. Successful candidates will be comfortable balancing multiple priorities, navigating competing interests, leading project teams, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. The Capital Projects Coordinator plays a key role in shaping the spaces and infrastructure that support Lane County employees and residents every day. Requirements

  • Eight years of education and/or experience in project management, construction management, or similar.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
  • Background check is required.
  • Oregon driver license required at time of appointment.
