As Capital Projects Coordinator with our Parks & Trails Division, you’ll lead meaningful parks construction projects that enhance public spaces, advance sustainability, and enrich the everyday experiences of residents and visitors alike. Reporting to the Manager, Parks Operations, the Capital Projects Coordinator – Parks & Trails is responsible for the planning, implementation and coordination of parks and trails capital projects, ranging from minor capital renovations to major asset replacement. The Capital Projects Coordinator – Parks & Trails also ensures the parks and trails infrastructure adheres to the asset management plan and preventative maintenance standards and operating procedures. In a typical week, you may attend on-site meetings with contractors to review construction progress on a major trail upgrade, collaborate with parks planners and engineers on final project details for the tendering of a new washroom or multi-use trail bridge, and manage project timelines while advancing asset management inventory updates. This dynamic position is ideal for someone looking to advance their career in construction project management within a parks and trails environment.
