About The Position

Protiviti is looking for a Senior Manager to join our Capital Projects & Contracts group and support our growing Construction consulting offerings. As a Senior Manager, you will partner with clients to identify construction and capital project delivery risks, technical challenges, and opportunities to improve the efficiency, governance, and performance of capital programs. You'll develop strategies to solve complex business problems using new ways of thinking, and devise solutions to support your clients' needs through using the latest tools and methods. You’ll develop lasting relationships with client personnel and further these relationships through quality product delivery. You’ll foster a network within the business community and serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market. You will also be a mentor and provide performance development to teams as you oversee the successful completion of project work plans.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of construction project lifecycles, including planning, design, procurement, execution, and closeout.
  • Ability to confidently assess project governance, project controls, cost and schedule management, contract administration, and contractor oversight practices.
  • Experience in identifying and mitigating construction risks, including cost overruns, delays, change orders, and claims.
  • Passion for advising clients on large-scale, complex construction programs and delivering high-impact solutions.
  • Excellence in building executive-level relationships and driving long-term client value.
  • Enjoyment in leading teams, developing talent, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Demonstrated experience with Project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management across the lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience with Contract strategy, procurement, and delivery models (e.g., EPC, design-build, CM at-risk).
  • Demonstrated experience with Contract administration, including change order management, claims mitigation, and dispute resolution.
  • Demonstrated experience with Project controls, including cost, schedule, and performance monitoring against KPIs.
  • Demonstrated experience with Construction documentation review (budgets, schedules, contracts, RFIs, submittmits, and reports).
  • Demonstrated experience with Contractor and subcontractor performance evaluation and oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience with Auditing construction projects and capital programs, including governance and controls frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience with Identifying risks related to cost overruns, schedule delays, scope changes, and disputes.
  • Demonstrated experience with Supporting or leading claims analysis, dispute advisory, or forensic project reviews.
  • Demonstrated experience with Evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data.
  • Demonstrated experience with Establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives.
  • Demonstrated experience with Successfully pursuing business development opportunities and identifying and implementing strategies to obtain new work or clientele.
  • Ability to translate and communicate issues, risk, or challenges to client personnel, including executives.
  • Leadership and direct supervisory experience of teams including conducting performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field).
  • 8+ years of experience in Consulting, Construction, Engineering, Project Controls, or Capital Project Management.
  • Experience with construction and project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, e-Builder, Kahua, CMIC, or similar platforms).

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, PE, or similar preferred.
