About The Position

The Candy Department Head provides excellent customer service and stocks the candy department, along with completing other assigned duties to support an efficient and pleasant shopping experience. The role includes maintaining product displays and shelf presentation, managing promotional pricing and planograms, and supporting inventory, delivery, and store-cleanliness tasks. The position may also assist in other departments and requires awareness of and compliance with loss-prevention and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Great communication skills.
• Able to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and stock the candy department.
• Stock shelves with back-stock products and incoming freight.
• Set and remove advertising prices for applicable sales and check pricing accuracy.
• Maintain displays and face shelved products.
• Follow planograms and change floor plans.
• Clean the retail area by dust mopping, removing trash, and picking up litter.
• Use computers to determine product delivery and inventory levels.
• Return excess product to the warehouse.
• Move empty pallets to the warehouse and break down containers.
• Attach security tags to appropriate products.
• Help in other departments as assigned.
• Demonstrate awareness of and comply with loss-prevention and safety policies and procedures.
