About The Position

The purpose of this role is to serve as an ambassador (organizationally & relationally) to prospective students who attend the overnight, expenses-paid-for, Discover GCU trip. This includes weekly event operations, presenting trained information, sharing of personal and positive GCU experiences, and providing a positive and safe environment for guests.

Requirements

Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and have open availability to consistently work weekends
Experience with youth, preferably in a camp environment.
Flexibility and enthusiasm is a must.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Outgoing and comfortable with public speaking in front of various groups.
Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

Nice To Haves

Campus living and extracurricular activities within GCU strongly preferred to be able to provide first-hand experience to visitors.

Responsibilities

Support and promote GCU’s Doctrinal Statement.
Execute weekly event operations, procedures, policies, and protocols with absolute excellence.
Present on trained information to groups of guests.
Provide positive and safe experience for guests.
Ensure inventory is adequate per each event.
Ensure rooms are adequately cleaned and prepared for events.
Additional Tasks as assigned.
