About The Position

Under the direction of the Principal, performs a variety of duties to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors on the school campus. Monitors campus grounds, buildings, and parking areas to prevent unauthorized access, vandalism, and other security breaches. Responds to calls for assistance, investigates disturbances, and enforces school rules and regulations. May assist with traffic control and emergency response.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of security procedures and safety practices.
Ability to observe and identify potential security risks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

First Aid and CPR certification.
Experience working in a school environment.

Responsibilities

Patrols school grounds, buildings, and parking areas to ensure safety and security.
Monitors surveillance equipment and responds to alarms.
Enforces school rules and regulations, and reports violations.
Responds to calls for assistance and investigates disturbances.
Assists with traffic control and crowd management.
Provides security escorts as needed.
Reports any suspicious activity or security concerns to the Principal.
Maintains a visible presence to deter unauthorized access and vandalism.
Assists with emergency response procedures.
Completes daily activity logs and incident reports.
