About The Position

MCAD is seeking a Campus Safety Officer to help ensure a safe and secure campus environment while providing a high level of customer service. The officer carries out duties in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and college policies, while remaining sensitive to college needs, employee and student goodwill, and MCAD’s reputation as an employer and educational institution. This is a full-time, non-exempt position expected to work 40 hours per week. The position reports to the Campus Safety Supervisor and pays $20.00 per hour. It is classified as essential personnel, requiring availability outside normal working hours when needed to support college operations. Additional hours may be required during emergencies and key campus events, and blackout periods for paid time off may apply to those event periods. It requires close collaboration with team members and colleagues in other departments. Standard office equipment such as computers and phones may be used, along with other tools or machinery depending on the role. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and frequently to stand, walk, handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms. Reasonable accommodation will be provided upon request to enable performance of the essential functions.
