About The Position

Vanguard Classical School is seeking a dedicated Campus Monitor to help create a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for students. The role supports student safety and well-being during the school day in hallways, classrooms, playgrounds, and common areas. The Campus Monitor serves as a positive role model, encourages respectful behavior, and supports a safe, orderly, and caring campus environment. The school describes its educational approach as a rigorous Core Knowledge curriculum, classical teaching, and high expectations. Classes are held four days a week, allowing greater flexibility and collaboration among staff. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the required criminal background clearance process. Employees must provide documented evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the United States at New Hire Orientation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in hallways, common areas, playgrounds, and during arrival and dismissal.
• Enforce school rules and procedures to ensure student safety.
• Promote positive social interactions and help resolve minor conflicts.
• Report incidents, injuries, or behavioral concerns to school leadership.
• Observe visitors and ensure doors are secure as part of campus security.
• Support transitions between classes, recess, lunch, and dismissal.
• Maintain a positive, approachable, and professional demeanor.
