About The Position

Monitors areas of school buildings and grounds, including hallways, bathrooms, and parking lots. Helps maintain a positive learning environment by deterring disruptive behavior, fighting, bullying, and other student conduct violations, including leaving campus without permission and using tobacco or other illegal substances on school property. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One year of experience in a relevant area; the posting states a total education/experience requirement of one year.

Responsibilities

Observe and report student behavior that may affect the wellbeing of the school.
Monitor student passes in hall areas.
Assist in monitoring student behavior on school property.
Monitor suspicious activity and refer it to appropriate school authorities.
Check passes of students leaving school property during the school day.
Prevent loitering in hallways or on school property.
Inform appropriate school administration when emergencies develop or questions arise.
Provide support to lunchroom aides when necessary.
Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.
Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
