About The Position

The Campus Monitor supports student transportation and campus safety at the Bright Horizons Center in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The role assists students who are arriving or waiting for pickup by parents or paratransit services, helps maintain security and safety measures, and provides appropriate supervision and care to support students’ safety and well-being. The Campus Monitor must follow applicable federal and state laws and School Board policies. The position is per-diem and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Pay is $16.50 per hour. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Four years of total work experience, including at least one year working with students.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students and analyze situations related to student activity and security.
Valid Florida driver’s license.
Successful Level II background check, physical, and drug screen.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills preferred.
Computer skills in areas such as word processing, spreadsheets, and visual presentations preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with transportation needs as students are dropped off or wait for pickup from parents or paratransit services.
Support district-wide security and safety measures to promote the overall safety of children on campus.
Provide the appropriate level of supervision and care to maintain individuals’ safety and well-being.
Follow federal and state laws and School Board policies.
