About The Position

The Campus Food Pantry Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting students by ensuring consistent, dignified access to food resources. This position leads daily pantry operations, supervises student workers and volunteers, and fosters partnerships that strengthen food security across campus and in the community. The Campus Food Pantry provides free food and toiletry items to Auburn University students experiencing food insecurity. Any currently enrolled student experiencing food insecurity can use the Campus Food Pantry. Responsibilities

  • Staff the Campus Food Pantry during open hours, assist users, address customer issues, enforce pantry guidelines.
  • Supervise and lead student workers and volunteers. Effectively address performance and personnel issues to ensure effective and efficient pantry operations.
  • Create bulk grocery orders within budget guidelines, inventory all deliveries, and ensure financial accounting of all orders.
  • Utilize PantrySoft Software to check out users, input new users, track inventory, communicate with users, and track donations and food drives.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of the Campus Food Pantry.
  • Responsible for checking and responding to all phone and email volunteer requests. Provide written confirmation of volunteer hours, as needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate monthly visits from SNAP representative. Collaborate with community and campus partners to coordinate food drives and volunteer requests.
