Campus Director- Men's Shelter

ATLANTA MISSION•Atlanta, GA
•$80,000 - $110,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Campus Director establishes a culture and daily operations that gives every man who walks through the doors the chance to encounter Christ, be treated with dignity, and find a real path out of homelessness, poverty, and addiction. This role is responsible for the team, the program, the men served, the facility, the business operations of the campus, and community partnerships. The ideal candidate will have experience running complex operations, leading leaders, and demonstrating compassion and resilience. This is a hands-on, on-site role that requires an active Christian faith and alignment with the organization's mission and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, public health, human services, or a related field — or equivalent leadership experience we can verify.
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience running a large site or business unit, including leading other leaders and teams of 25 or more.
  • A demonstrated track record of building high-performing teams and keeping them — with references who will confirm it.
  • Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills in high-stakes situations.
  • Business acumen: budget ownership, data-informed decisions, and comfort with Microsoft Office and a CRM such as Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • An active Christian faith and full alignment with Atlanta Mission's mission, values, and statement of faith.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, walking, and sitting).
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and ascend and descend stairs.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 10 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • You only want a strategy seat. This is a leadership role with your hands in the work and your feet on the floor.
  • You need a predictable environment. Crisis is part of the job description here, not an interruption to it.
  • You keep your faith separate from your work. Our faith is not one part of what we do; it informs why and how we do all of it.
  • You lead through policy and email rather than presence and relationship.
  • You are more comfortable reporting effort than reporting outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, develop, and lead staff, including program managers, case managers, and direct care teams.
  • Build a campus culture where employees love where they work and address performance and culture problems proactively.
  • Ensure faithful implementation of the transformation model and program phases, including daily schedules, holistic programming, and assessment of effectiveness.
  • Partner with the Chief Program Officer to identify and close program gaps.
  • Ensure the safety, dignity, and outcomes of the men served, setting standards for conflict resolution, crisis management, and advocacy.
  • Ensure no man on campus becomes invisible.
  • Own the condition of the facility, ensuring it is clean, safe, secure, and maintained.
  • Handle facility problems quickly, plan for capital needs, and lead emergency response and crisis management.
  • Manage the campus budget, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, licensing, and funding obligations.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping and report data to senior leadership.
  • Build partnerships with churches, employers, housing providers, government agencies, service partners, and volunteers.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff members who assist and support residents.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the transformation model and program phases.
  • Manage a campus schedule to ensure clients are engaged in holistic programming.
  • Oversee the budget and financial resources for the facility.
  • Ensure programs and facility operate in compliance with regulations, licensing, and funding requirements.
  • Assist in building relationships with external organizations and partners.
  • Handle disputes or conflicts among residents or between residents and staff.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff members.
  • Provide the team with vision, direction, and development.
  • Monitor and safeguard accurate record keeping and report data.
  • Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the facility.
  • Contribute to the execution of the organization's strategic plan and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement emergency response and crisis management plans.
  • Serve as an advocate for the residents.
