About The Position

Slope School is seeking experienced educators to join their innovative educational organization as a Campus Director for the 2026-27 academic year. This dual-role position involves approximately 70% studio leadership, where the director will work directly with students, and 30% campus-level leadership, supporting school operations, enrollment, and staff development. The role is open for either the lower school (pre-K through 4th grade) or upper school (5th through 8th grade) and is ideal for seasoned educators with 5-8 years of experience looking for a high-ownership role with meaningful autonomy in a close-knit community focused on student ownership, critical thinking, and self-directed growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Significant prior teaching experience required
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Take full ownership of outcomes and operate with an “at-cause” mindset
  • Are both a strong classroom leader and an effective coach for other adults
  • Balance warmth with clarity and accountability - comfortable having tough conversations
  • Are highly organized, proactive, and reliable
  • Are energized by building systems and driving change

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading or mentoring other educators strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead a studio of students through daily learning experiences, including discussions, project-based work, and core skills.
  • Design and prepare learning experiences (projects, writing, discussions, exhibitions).
  • Track student progress using academic and character data; coach students through goal-setting and challenges.
  • Build a strong studio culture focused on ownership, respect, and accountability.
  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress and key events.
  • Support enrollment efforts, including leading tours and helping assess fit for prospective students and families.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to Assistant, Apprentice, and Lead Guides.
  • Help maintain strong campus-wide systems, culture, and consistency.
  • Contribute to planning, operations, and budget awareness.
  • Organize school-wide events, communication, and execution.
