About The Position

Meta is seeking an experienced Campus Construction Manager to join our Data Center Design, Engineering, & Construction Team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. Building and operating data centers the "right" way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability and capital conservation. The data center engineering team thinks from chip to chiller (or electrical substation), determining configurations and ensuring maximum efficiency of our compute infrastructure, and the Design Engineering and Construction - Delivery Team is committed to continual optimization of the delivery process at each level. The Campus Construction Manager will have the campus level responsibility for project success, General Contractor (GC) relationship, team development and relationship management with key cross functional partners at the site in an environment focused on collaboration, safety and quality in the data center construction industry.

Requirements

Experience with ground-up construction and greenfield site development requirements
Negotiation experience and experience providing solutions to problems
15+ years of experience in construction management and project planning for large-scale commercial or industrial projects
Experience with Microsoft and Google Office Suites
Experience in construction management, capital budget management, and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent degree
Knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards including fire protection regulations

Nice To Haves

Advanced Degrees in engineering and or business administration
Experience with a variety of construction models (Design-Build, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), Lump Sum, Cost Plus, Fixed Fee, etc.) is a plus
Successful experience with Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) delivery
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Experience in data center engineering, design, commissioning, operations, telecommunications, network infrastructure, and ground-up new build site development and construction, as well as retrofit work in live environments, is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience in Capital Budget Management is a plus
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Responsibilities

Accountable for project and campus success in: Safety, Quality, Schedule Milestones, Forecast Accuracy, Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Accuracy
Assume accountability for DEC Delivery's standards of partnership, teamwork and professional development at the campus
Represent DEC Delivery in the Circle of Leadership at each campus and partner effectively to become a high performing team
Manage and develop onsite team of direct report Construction Managers (both Full Time Employees and Contingent Workers) and matrixed reports specializing in Safety, Quality, Project Controls (Cost & Schedule)
Provide cost saving solutions and negotiate contractor change orders
Manage cross functional team for Owner Furnished Equipment procurement and delivery process
Provide weekly project status report (financial, schedule, quality control)
Manage Knowledge capture and transfer at the campus level
Manage General Contractor relationship at the campus level to include General Contractor personnel development and succession
Manage tenant improvement or retrofit work in a live data center environment
Manage warranty work program for existing data center buildings
25% travel to Headquarters, Other Meta Locations
Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies
