About The Position
Under the direct supervision of a site principal or designee, Campus Assistants assist in the supervision of children at designated times, thus contributing significantly to the effectiveness of the total instructional program. This recruitment is for current vacancies and to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies for up to one year. Substitute positions may also be filled from this recruitment.

Responsibilities
- Supervise the health, safety, and conduct of children during assigned periods in cafeterias, lunchrooms, lunch shelters, playgrounds, bus loading areas, restrooms, locker rooms, and other similar areas.
- Supervise, but not organize or conduct, noon play activities.
- Wipe down lunch table tops and seats before, during, and after assigned meal periods.
- Assist children opening milk cartons, opening food packages, and cleaning up small table spills.
- Maintain a calm and controlled atmosphere in the lunchroom at all times.
- Assist children to observe courtesies and rules of safety.
- Maintain a respectful and courteous attitude toward the children.
- May accompany children between campus areas as assigned.
- Assist school-age children across intersections during slow and peak traffic times to ensure safety, as assigned.
- Provide crossing guard duty as assigned.
