About The Position

The fee collector’s primary responsibility is to check guests in and out of the campground. The fee collector also explains the layout and location of various facilities and directs guests to their campsites. This position is a KEY member of the Dodge Ridge Team. This position would begin in June 2026.

  • Must possess strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Must possess a general knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to implement the National Recreation Reservation Service system.
  • Ability to effectively use computers for word and data processing and records management.
  • Experience with and the ability to operate Microsoft Office software, including Excel, is required.
  • Must possess skill in using computers and other office equipment; in composing correspondence; managing filing systems; gathering and summarizing information; and in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing complicated and continuing assignments.
  • Possess ability to multi-task, work independently, trouble shoot and prioritize.
  • Safe working habits at all times and strict adherence to the Dodge Ridge Safety Policies.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects with weights up to and in excess of 50 lbs, and to perform routine cleaning tasks.
  • Good manual and physical dexterity and good physical fitness.
  • Be punctual, honest, trustworthy and possess good judgment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the Motor Vehicle Record qualifications as outlined in the Fleet Safety Program.

Responsibilities

  • Check guests in and out, using the guidelines that are provided.
  • Learn and utilize the National Reservation System.
  • Explain the campground layout and direct guests to campsites.
  • Perform required compliance checks.
  • Ensure all camp records up to date – i.e., daily counts, checking in and out of guests, up-to-date compliance checks, and daily records of incidents or problems.
  • Sell retail items from the kiosk such as firewood and ice.
  • Give accurate information concerning the location of the facilities at the campgrounds.
  • Operate vehicles in and out of the campgrounds.
  • Use and care of radio equipment.
  • Clock yourself in and out properly.
  • Comply with daily cash handling procedures.
  • Maintaining clean work stations, including washing windows, cleaning and emptying trash.
  • Sweeping or washing down the outside of the booth.
  • Picking up litter.
  • Maintain break areas.
