Campaign Manager, Here We Are

Ground Media
$85,000 - $105,000Remote

About The Position

Ground is hiring a Campaign Manager to oversee the operations of the Here We Are (HWA) initiative. HWA is a national, research-backed storytelling campaign focused on shifting public opinion and building support for transgender equality. The Campaign Manager will be responsible for managing various aspects of HWA's work, including research studies, partner support, and campaign deployment across a national network. This role requires a blend of operational execution and strategic insight, acting as the central point of contact for partners and ensuring all campaign elements move forward effectively. The Campaign Manager will work with internal teams (project coordination, production, creative, research, paid media) and external partners, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and deadlines. This is an operational role with significant ownership, reporting to the Director of Here We Are.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in campaign management, program management, advocacy communications, or integrated marketing, including responsibility for multiple concurrent work streams or a portfolio of projects.
  • A systems thinker who finds satisfaction in the infrastructure that lets a mission-driven campaign run smoothly — you take pride in making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Able to drive work through cross-functional teams you don't directly manage, mobilizing creative, research, production, or media resources against deadlines.
  • Fluent in paid media, creator/influencer campaigns, and digital content deployment — able to explain strategy and results credibly to external stakeholders, not just execute against them.
  • Experienced presenting strategy, plans, or results to clients, partners, or senior stakeholders.
  • An independent decision-maker who knows the difference between a call you should make yourself and one you should escalate.
  • Comfortable working independently and proactively in a remote, fast-moving environment.
  • Committed to the mission of Here We Are.

Nice To Haves

  • Agency account or engagement leadership experience, or campaign leadership within an advocacy organization.
  • Experience coordinating or managing research projects, message testing, or persuasion measurement workstreams.
  • Experience managing cohort, coalition, or multi-stakeholder programs.
  • Experience with creator campaign platforms and social/digital analytics tools.
  • Experience working on transgender equality or LGBTQ+ campaigns, or with state-based LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations, national organizations, or movement coalitions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify blockers, risks, and slippage early, and activate the right agency resources to resolve them, holding those teams to campaign deadlines.
  • Drive active campaigns from green light through deployment and reporting, directing the Ground team staffed to each activation.
  • Manage creator campaigns across HWA's growing network of movement and non-movement creators.
  • Oversee deployment across HWA's hub-and-spokes partner network — assets built once, rebranded and launched by partners across states.
  • Make independent calls within approved campaign plans — deployment timing and sequencing, creator selection, asset revisions, channel adjustments — and bring all public-facing outputs to the Director for sign off.
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for movement partners and cohort members on execution matters, and explain HWA's campaign strategy — content rationale, paid media approach, channel mix, research results — using the campaign's approved materials.
  • Own ongoing cohort communications, including regular updates, deliverable coordination, and responsiveness to cohort member needs.
  • Track research studies at the milestone level (design, fielding, analysis, delivery), flag delays, and coordinate the handoff of findings into campaign development and partner-facing materials.
  • Track campaign performance against benchmarks and adjust deployment within the approved plan; prepare campaign briefs, flight plans, and post-campaign performance summaries.
  • Surface partner needs, friction, and opportunities to the Director, including status preparation for the weekly leadership sync.
  • Own the accuracy of HWA's tracking systems and compile the portfolio activity and metrics sections of monthly and quarterly reports for the Director's completion.

Benefits

  • Healthcare benefits
  • Paid time off
  • Professional development support
