The Campaign Finance Division of the State Board of Elections administers North Carolina’s campaign finance disclosure and compliance program. The division supports accurate and timely committee registration and reporting, maintains campaign finance records and public-access information, provides guidance and training to regulated entities and county election offices, and conducts audits and compliance reviews of committee reports. The division works with candidates, committees, treasurers, county boards of elections, agency leadership, and other stakeholders to promote consistent statewide administration, transparency, accountability, and voluntary compliance with campaign finance requirements. This position directs the statewide campaign finance program, including committee registration, disclosure reporting, compliance, audits, public access, stakeholder support, training, and continuous process improvement. It provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the agency fulfills its responsibility to review and audit committee reports, identifies compliance risks, and maintains a fair, consistent, well-documented, and defensible audit environment.
