About The Position

The California Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP) Statewide Coordinator serves as the liaison to the CAMP Statewide Director (SD), providing comprehensive support through project management, writing and presentation, and high-level administrative and partnership relationship functions. This role is responsible for coordinating and implementing projects to support CAMP Statewide multi-campus efforts. As a key position within the Office of Inclusive Excellence (OIE), the CAMP Statewide Coordinator requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in program development, stakeholder engagement, and a deep commitment to inclusive excellence within STEM fields. The position also involves leading the planning of the annual CAMP Statewide Symposium and assisting in the planning and execution of the UC CAMP system-wide advisory board, which includes industry leaders and other relevant stakeholders. The role involves utilizing seasoned professional skills in analytical practices, policies, and procedures, including researching, analyzing, and developing solutions to complex and diverse issues. The individual will demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for problem-solving, and will be involved in developing new programs, policies, or procedures for potential implementation.

  • Strong organizational skills to multi-task and coordinate events with demanding timeframes and keen attention to detail and accuracy to maintain records, prepare reports and ensure compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft and Office software programs, with intermediate skills in Excel and database systems and other digital tools required.
  • Strong knowledge of up-to-date information on higher education policies and issues.
  • Strong policy analysis techniques to assess their impact on program strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Program development, implementation and evaluation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge and experience working in STEM education and pathway development, implementation and evaluation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Higher education administration.
