Responsibilities 1: Receive telephone calls and refer them to the appropriate individual or department. 2: Take and transcribe messages to ensure prompt transmission to the appropriate party. 3: Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate individual. 4: Provide general information about the organization to outside callers (e.g., applicants, and vendors). 5: May ensure that a visitor's log is maintained and issue visitor's badges. Continue learning aspects of the job. Work on task-oriented assignments. Contact primarily within immediate work unit.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computer use, Microsoft Office Suite, use of office equipment.
  • Standard typing skills required.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
