About The Position
The Camp Program Director is a full-time, temporary position from June 1st - August 7th, 2026 at the Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp in Chelsea, MI.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Experience working with children
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with MUCC staff
- Physically capable of performing duties in an outdoor camp environment
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead contact responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp
- Create and implement camper curriculum and staff training modules with guidance from MUCC’s Education Director
- Deliver instruction and programming in an enthusiastic, safe, and responsible manner
- Supervise campers and staff members and provide positive leadership
- Manage camp communications, including email, social media, and the camp cell phone
- Assist with daily facility management and administrative duties as assigned by the Education Director
- Perform daily camp tasks and safely traverse the camp’s 250-acre property
- Live on-site during the camp season (private director housing provided)
