About The Position

The Camp Assistant Director supports the Camp Lead Director in organizing and executing operational and logistical aspects of the camp. Responsibilities include coordinating camp schedules, equipment, and assisting with on-site logistics. This role focuses primarily on supporting the execution and operations of the camp, making it distinct from their primary university role.

Requirements

  • Ability to coordinate camp schedules.
  • Skills in managing logistics such as organizing equipment and activity setup.
  • Capability to serve as a point of contact for staff and participants.
  • Experience in executing on-site logistics.
  • Ability to monitor camp activities and address challenges.
  • Strong communication skills to report challenges to the Camp Lead Director.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day camp schedules, ensuring all activities run on time and as planned.
  • Manage non-compliance-related logistics such as organizing equipment, activity setup, and ensuring materials are available.
  • Serve as a point of contact during the camp for staff and participants, relaying concerns to the Camp Lead Director.
  • Help execute on-site logistics such as setting up, monitoring, and managing equipment or materials for activities.
  • Monitor the flow of camp activities to ensure smooth transitions and address minor challenges as needed.
  • Report logistics- or operations-related challenges to the Camp Lead Director for resolution.
