About The Position

Eagle’s Nest Camp is a non-profit, overnight camp located on 200 acres of wooded land in the lush mountains of Western North Carolina. Since 1927, it has provided a joyful, inclusive community where campers ages 6 to 18 are treated with respect, compassion, and care. Campers participate in 1 to 3-week long sessions that emphasize community living while choosing classes in visual and performing arts, athletics, appreciation of nature, outdoor adventure, horseback riding, and more. The camp population is diverse and smaller in size, allowing campers and staff to feel seen, heard, and valued.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• CPR certified
• Relevant medical license (RN, PA, MD, etc.)
• If licensed outside of NC, must be able to practice in NC
• Clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Providing daily care and First-Aid to approximately 140 campers and 60 staff.
• Administering care and First-Aid to injured/ill campers.
• Administering medication and preparing medications for any overnight or off-campus trips.
• Updating medical logs as necessary on our CampDoc online platform.
• Communicating with parents and physicians.
• Being available to serve whenever a need arises.
