Summer Camp Staff
About The Position
Girl Scouts of Central Texas is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their summer camp staff. The organization's mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place, and the summer camps at Bluebonnet Shores (Belton, TX) and Camp Texlake (Spicewood, TX) provide a unique environment for girls to develop these skills outdoors. The camps offer traditional Girl Scout activities like archery, kayaking, outdoor cooking, and swimming, alongside themed programming such as "Dino Camp" and "Glamp Camp." Programming is girl-led, allowing campers to choose activities. The organization is committed to providing an enriching summer camp experience for both campers and staff.
Requirements
- Commitment to a four-week work period (can be non-consecutive or split across different weeks).
- Mandatory attendance at paid staff training from May 31st – June 5th.
- Availability for Summer Camp Dates: June 7th – July 24th.
Responsibilities
- Participate in traditional Girl Scout camp activities such as archery, kayaking, outdoor cooking, and swimming.
- Engage in themed programming.
- Facilitate girl-led programming where campers choose activities.
- Live at camp during the contract period.
- Provide meals (Breakfast, Lunch, snack, and Dinner) for campers.
