About The Position

The Camp Host greets guests, answers questions, helps resolve problems, and provides information about the resort and local attractions. The role includes promoting recreation operations and activities to internal and external audiences, collecting campground fees, preparing weekly revenue and attendance reports, cleaning facilities, and performing light maintenance. The Camp Host helps keep the campsite and property clean, orderly, well-manicured, and guest-ready, and assists other employees as needed. The position works outdoors in all types of weather and reports to the General Manager while working closely with the Assistant General Manager.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to remain calm and friendly when dealing with upset visitors or problems.
• Basic writing and computer skills.
• Ability to be on your feet, ride a bike, and/or drive a golf cart, and move around freely with guests.
• Ability to work positively with other campground employees and staff members.
• Support all company policies and procedures.
• High school degree or GED equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of recreation industry programs and amenities.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and answer questions.

• Clean exterior and interior facilities, particularly bathroom buildings.
• Perform light maintenance.
• Provide information about the resort and local attractions.
• Promote recreation operations and activities to internal and external sources.
• Pick up litter throughout the complex.
• Maintain a neat and orderly campsite.
• Assist other employees when asked.
• Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and guest-ready.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
