Camp Counselor - Winter Camp 2026

Jewish Community Center of San Francisco•San Francisco, CA
•$20 - $22•Onsite

About The Position

Winter Camp at the JCCSF runs one- to two-week sessions in traditional day camp and specialty camp settings for campers in grades K–5. The camp operates December 21 through January 1. Classic day camps feature arts and crafts, STEAM projects, and sports, while specialty camps include visual arts, nature exploration, musical theater, science, and other activities. Camp Counselors help children create lasting memories while developing their own leadership skills. Counselors work directly with youth, mainly ages 5–11, and are primarily responsible for their campers' care and activities. They work in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations, depending on their assigned camp type. Locations may include classrooms, a basketball gym, an art studio, a catering kitchen, field trips, sports fields, and playgrounds. Assignments may take counselor preferences into consideration. This is a non-benefited, non-exempt position paying $20.00–$22.00 per hour. The schedule is 37.5 hours per week, with shifts of either 8:15 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is no work on December 25, 2026, or January 1, 2027.
