About The Position

Seeking a high energy, enthusiastic person who likes working with middle school aged children on STEM related activities. Each day of camp is fast paced, educational and fun for the campers. Through a host of activities, the camp exposes middle school aged students to the variety of career opportunities in Houston’s energy industry.

Requirements

• College sophomore year level or experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science degree

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of the lessons under the guidance of the lead instructor.
• Provide instruction for camp hands-on activities and during lab experiments.
• Encourage students to be engaged and curious during the activities.
• Perform daily activities in the classroom, computer lab and the science lab to include set up of supplies and breakdown of equipment at the conclusion of the activity.
• Escort camp participants to the designated pickup location when the camp concludes each day.
• Assist by contacting parents by phone if they do not arrive on time to pick up their student.
• Has punctuality and regular attendance during camp weeks.
